This is pidgin in Hawai'i for more things get done better when we work together. With peak oil coming and here on Kaua'i we never know when our community will face a need to take care of ourselves due to some challenge be it weather related or other. This is a place we can discuss ideas and opportunities for helping ourselves and learning. Let's role up our shirt sleeves and see what we can create to nurture and care for our families and neighbors now and into the future!

This weekend we've just finished a fantastic Kaua'i Conservation Conference!!! Last night's speaker after a wonderful sharing of traditional hula, was Dr. Wade, an ethnobotanist, explorer, archeologist and videographer. He shared his ideas in a very down-to-earth talk with a background slideshow of the various cultures he's lived with.
More later, I'm off for a morning canoe paddle with our Hawai'ian conoe club, Kawaikini. Aloha mai!!
